Sugar-free cranberry sauce

Sugar-free cranberry sauce

Turkey and stuffing aren’t the same without their soul mate: cranberry sauce. With this sugar-free version, cinnamon and sweet apples bring out the berries’ delicate flavor. Wonderfully delicious. Gobble gobble!

Perhaps instead of cinnamon, add freshly grated orange and lemon zest? I find that the citrus notes brings out the natural sweetness in apples and cranberries. That's how I prepare cranberry sauce.

Thanksgiving long gone here. I'm thinking Christmas recipes already. Low carb cranberry sauce is great. Now if you can do a low-carb Shortbread I'll be over the moon.

This was my first disappointment from a DietDoctor recipe. I made this and it was way too tart! Looks like I won't be having cranberry sauce with my turkey.

I like it! Used Mom's home made apple butter with a little water and a 1/4 teaspoon of Trader Joe's stevia in addition to vanilla and cinnamon. Fabulous.

How longs does this keep in the fridge

Most food is safe in the fridge for 3-5 days.

I made this for Thanksgiving. It was delicious. I did add some liquid stevia and some orange flavoring.

I just made this for our small Thanksgiving dinner tonight and it tastes wonderfully! I understand how some folks might want to add sweetener, but if you like your cranberry sauce tart, like I do, this is just perfect! I believe it will work great with the cornish hens we settled for (instead of turkey, no need for a big bird if there's only three of us at home). Thank you, Diet Doctor, for all your great recipes for every occasion.

Margaret, this one will work just fine with fresh berries or you can wash and freeze your fresh berries so that you have frozen berries.
